Policies

The Clark Currier Inn is dedicated to the highest level of guest service. We have created the following policies to ensure we meet that goal for the guests who stay at our Inn.

About The Inn
The Clark Currier Inn is a captivating historic bed and breakfast built in 1803. Nestled within a charming residential neighborhood just two blocks from downtown Newburyport. The Inn retains much of the original fineness with beautiful antiques, decorative dentil moldings, Indian shutters, and wide pumpkin pine flooring. Unfortunately, given the age of the Inn – the Inn does NOT have an elevator.
Pike Room, Merrimac Room & Clark Room are located on the ground level of the Inn. There is one step up to get into the Inn.
Currier Room, Marquand Room, Bob Room & Melissa Room are located on the second floor – there are 20 stairs leading to the second floor.
Tedford Room, Noyes Room, Hale Room & Sargent Room are located on the third floor – there are 20 stairs leading to the second floor and another 16 stairs leading to the third floor.

If you have a disability or mobility issue, please call us or email us in advance, and if we can’t accommodate your circumstances, we’ll be happy to recommend suitable accommodations for you in the area.

If you are staying in our rooms on the first and second floor you may hear others walking, and talking in the rooms above you. We have quiet hours in place from 10pm to 7am.

Guests who cancel their reservation less than 7 days prior to arrival will be responsible for the full amount of the room charges.

Check-in and Out Times

While we love to try and accommodate everyone with an early check-in time we do need time to ensure that your accommodations are sparkling clean and sanitized properly before you arrive. Please give us a call to double check that an early check-in is available BEFORE arriving at the Inn.

Check-out is at 11:00am. We ask that you respect our 11:00am check-out time, as we need time to prepare our accommodations for incoming guests.  Should you have a late departure, luggage storage may be requested.

To access the parking lot, pull up the driveway that is located just BEFORE the building – feel free to park in any of the parking spaces on the left as well as along the fence on the right. If you wish to leave a gratuity for other staff members please feel free to speak with our innkeeper and they can assist you. Your recognition of their service during your stay will be much appreciated!
